In many previous posts, i was bringing myself up on a (fairly) massive learning curve about cross-compiling a gcc compiler with a KPIT GNU config flavor for the RX62N microcontroller from Renesas. My experience with compiling the KPIT GNU tool chain went well as seen in
Part 2 of that chain of posts. However, the problem i had is that Apple uses some weird USB endpoint controlling in the OS, so, although i could generate an ELF file for the microcontroller, i still couldn't program it.
Well, i just received an email from KPIT GNU Tools that version 3.01.00 has been released of their tool chain. i asked myself if i should branch this tool chain and maintain the Mac-based toolset with hopes that i will eventually figure out programming a Renesas microcontroller from my Mac.
So, i put it to you: hit the poll
above!
Edit: I moved the poll to the right column to keep the post section clean.
